Everyday lighting with battery backup for power outages
Globe power outage bulbs work as everyday LED bulbs and provide battery backup when household power fails. This pack contains 6 A19 bulbs and 2 portable sockets. Each 7W bulb is a 60W equivalent, with 800 lumens of normal light output and a 3000K warm white colour.
Backup brightness and runtime
The built-in rechargeable battery offers three backup brightness levels. The package lists the following runtimes:
- High: up to 5 hours
- Medium: up to 7 hours
- Low: up to 10 hours
Select a lower backup brightness to extend use. The 10-hour rating applies to low mode; it does not mean 10 hours at the bulb’s normal 800-lumen output.
Using the bulbs during an outage
For backup operation in a lamp, keep the fixture plugged in and its light switch on, as shown on the package. The bulbs can also be used as portable lights with the included sockets, which have hanging hooks. Follow the instructions supplied with the bulbs for brightness selection and charging.
The package is marked non-dimmable. The three battery-backup brightness levels are separate from compatibility with a household dimmer switch. See Globe Electric’s battery-backup bulb demonstration for an overview of normal operation, outage use and portability.
