The Powerbuilt 942191ECT Ratchet Tie Down Set includes four complete cargo straps, each measuring 1.5 in. × 16 ft. (3.8 cm × 4.8 m). Every strap has a 1,100 lb (499 kg) working load limit and 3,300 lb (1,497 kg) break strength. The working load limit is the rated limit for normal use; break strength is not the usable load capacity.
Powerbuilt ratchet strap features
- Four complete tie-down straps: each strap includes reinforced polyester webbing, a sliding-handle ratchet and double J-hooks.
- Sliding ratchet handle: reposition the handle to improve leverage and hand placement while tightening or releasing the strap.
- Wide moulded grip: the injection-moulded handle provides a broad, controlled gripping surface.
- Quick-release pin: helps disengage the ratchet mechanism when unloading. Remove strap tension carefully before releasing it.
- Double J-hooks: steel hooks connect to suitable rated anchor points on trailers, truck beds and other cargo systems.
- Reinforced webbing: red polyester webbing uses black protective edge reinforcement to resist everyday wear.
Working load limit versus break strength
Do not use 3,300 lb as the load capacity. Each strap’s normal rated working load limit is 1,100 lb. The 3,300 lb figure is the tested break strength. Do not exceed the 1,100 lb WLL, and do not calculate a safe cargo limit by simply multiplying the rating by four. The securement system is also limited by its anchor points, strap angles, load condition and applicable cargo rules.
